LEVIATHAN SERIES
The Ballista 2.0
(Leviathan Series Only) is a specially designed material with a high-end ballistic-graded frame. It was developed to work alongside the Helius 780 or Helius L25 RCT High Impact Polarized Lens system to pass the MIL-STD 662 ballistics fragmentation test for tactical eyewear.
RCI Optics lens technology utilizes the proprietary Helius™ advanced polymer, up to six times denser than polycarbonate or other lens materials. Our Leviathan Series™ sunglasses, made with the Ballista 2.0 frame material and coupled with our Helius H780 or L25 lenses, pass both ANSI Z87-1 and MIL-STD 662 ballistics fragmentation tests.
The Leviathans represent the pinnacle of eyewear technology. Imagine a product that can deliver ultimate clarity and polarization without compromising function and durability. Picture a lens that can withstand a T-37 projectile (.15 Caliber Shaped Round) at 650 FPS and side impacts exceeding 165 FPS, while also offering high-quality optics, watersheds, anti-static, oleophobic treatments, and a mass density that is 6 times greater than traditional polycarbonate.
The RCI Optics lens also blocks 100% of harmful UVA, UVB, and UVC rays. The (HEV) High Energy Visible or Blue Light is dramatically reduced by 95% on our H780 lenses and 88% on our L25 lens system. These lens systems are the ultimate in sun optics, bringing the brilliant colors of the Right Coast to life for an unmatched visual experience.
H780 LENS
H780 IR (Infrared Reducing) lens technology.
Helius 780 or H780 IR (Infrared Reducing) lens technology. This lens system is the most advanced offering to date in all market segments. Light is part of electromagnetic radiation, with the visible light that the human eye can observe ranging between 390 and 700 nanometers. Ultraviolet radiation, known to cause eye disease, stops at the 400 nm or nanometer scale. Most polarized eyewear protects you from these harmful UV radiations, but there is another that has never been addressed.
RCI OPTICS H780 Blocks Infrared.
Infrared rays lie beyond the red end of the visible spectrum, with wavelengths between 780 and 10,000 nm. They can be a potential hazard since they produce heat, raising the overall temperature of the anterior eye and, in turn, causing damage, especially to the crystalline lens and the retina.
CLASSIC SERIES
The Classic Series
features frames made of TR-90 Grilamid, a lightweight and durable sports nylon. It uses the Helius lens system, the same one found in our renowned Leviathans, known for their cutting-edge eyewear technology. All RCI’s products offer exceptional clarity and polarization without sacrificing functionality and durability. RCI lenses come with watersheds, anti-static, and oleophobic treatments as standard, and have a mass density six times greater than traditional polycarbonate.
L25 Lens
L25 EXTENDED WEAR LOW LIGHT LENS
Introducing the highly anticipated L25 Low Light Lens System! This groundbreaking lens system is designed to enhance visibility in challenging low light conditions. With a unique design that provides 25% more light in the mid-range and significantly increases light output at the higher end of the color light spectrum, the L25 Low Light Lens System offers unparalleled performance. Unlike other low light systems on the market, this lens system allows for extended use in low light conditions, giving users a clear advantage during activities such as sight fishing, shooting, cycling, and countless other outdoor pursuits. All L25 lenses are part of the Leviathan Series, ensuring top quality and compatibility with a range of devices.
XIPHOS 4.0 LENS COATINGS
XIPHOS 4.0
Xiphos 4.0 features a permanently bonded application to the Helius RCT High Impact Polarized lens system, delivering superior hydrophobic, oleophobic, anti-scratch, and anti-static properties. This robust performance application is exceptionally easy to clean and highly resistant to scratching, effectively repelling dirt, oil, water, and other contaminants in extreme weather conditions.
RADIUS CURVING TECH
R.C.T
(RCT) stands for Radius Curving Technology. A lens must be shaped in such a manner that allows light to travel in a straight path on a highly curved lens system to provide distortion-free vision. This results in high clarity and distortion-free optics.
